Deborah Bettcher – Decorating Den Interiors brings a half a century of residential design experience to our clients. No project is too big or too small. Each appointment offers an opportunity to get to know you, your preferences and your lifestyle. We help you to coordinate your selections with your color scheme and furnishings. Affiliated with over 150 suppliers, resources and manufacturers, and a winner of multiple awards, we find just the right fit for your aesthetic and functional expectations. Our turnkey interior design service makes transforming your home easy and stress-free.

Our home was rather stale and needed some decorative “love” to make it come alive. Our goals included being clean, not cluttered and rugged enough to withstand our children and dog. Along the way, Deb was great at communicating via email, phone etc…to ensure the status of all moving parts was known and to set expectations for timing on everything. Initial Consultation

To understand the full scope of the project, we offer a one and a half-hour initial design consultation. We bring over 20 years of professional experience right to your door! During this initial meeting, we will take a brief tour of your home to help us understand the space, lighting and other elements that should be considered in the design plan. Your style and functionality for each space, along with identifying existing furnishings that should be included in the plan, are mutually determined. We are likely to ask many questions and will observe everything from your color and pattern preferences to your stature, to be sure that everything fits you just right! This is a time to get to know each other and decide how to move forward. Before the design process begins, you will agree on the design elements that will be required and identify a target budget.  If you decide to work together, you will sign a contract and a retainer of 10% of that agreed upon budget will be collected. Our fees and payments are listed at the bottom of this page.  Finally room measurements and photographs are taken, so that we can create an outstanding design just for you.

Presentation Appointment

We will return to the studio and get to work researching the best solutions matching top quality home furnishings products with the lifestyle look you desire whether it is traditional, transitional or contemporary. Floor plans, mood boards or renderings and a power point are created to help you visualize various combinations of design elements in your space.

In about 7 to 10 days later, we will schedule the presentation appointment where we reveal the recommendations for creating the home that you wish for. Together, we will collaborate to craft the perfect design plan to suit your preferences, lifestyle and budget. We offer a number of design and product options, all personalized for you. Samples of products such as flooring, tile, hardware, wood furniture, paints, drapery and upholstery fabrics enable you to envision the completed scheme. Usually, all of the design elements are chosen, coordinated and agreed upon in this appointment.

We will work with you from the idea stage all the way through delivery and installation of products, until the final reveal!

Project Updates

In the days following the presentation appointment, we will contact the suppliers and order the items according to exact specifications.

You may be assured that we will offer monthly progress reports. As your products are ordered from a wide range of vendors, items arrive individually and warehoused safely until everything arrives. Some things may arrive within weeks, custom items may take several months depending on fabric availability and production schedules.

We will take care of overseeing the design process and communicate aspects that require your involvement such as scheduling painting (if required), delivery and installation dates.

Reveal Day!

This is the day that you’ve been waiting for when it all comes together. We will encourage you to spend a few hours out while the team of interiors experts will deliver, install and style your custom design, making sure that everything is “just so”- down to towels folded and flowers in vases. Every last detail will be handled. Sit back and relax as your space is transformed into the home of your dreams!

Once your fabulous new surroundings are complete, we will invite you to return and take in the transformation.

Fees and Payments

Once you decide that you wish to work together, we request a retainer, which is 10% of the target budget, to research and prepare a design plan.

We will prepare a written quote at the completion of the presentation. This will include reasonable retail cost of products, taxes, shipping, delivery, as well as and window treatment and installation. Upon 70% deposit, your orders will be placed.

The 30% balance less the amount of the retainer will be due at the final review of your project on Reveal Day.
